Male gaze

The male gaze theory is the focus on how men dictate to a woman; and how they (woman) looks or feels about themselves. they are objects to the male "gaze" and positioned as an object to the heterosexual males for feminists this it three ways
- how males look at women
- how women look at themselves
- how women look at each other

Laura Mulvey came up with this theory in 1975. Its focuses on film/camera angles and how the focus is on a womans curves and how males react to the scene. This made women change as they had figures such as marilyn munro and todays era beyonce, as a strong feminist woman that all genders looked up to. For certain promotions throughout years they use women sexually appealing to advertise the product.
